Saint Barnabas Health Care System in New Jersey announced that has added on the Infection Prevention Module of Sentri7 from the Bellevue, Wash.-based Wolters Kluwer Health for the system’s surveillance and reporting needs.

Sentri7 web-based software can help streamline infection prevention workflows including isolation management, healthcare-associated infection (HAI) investigation and National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reporting.

Sentri7 gives hospital staff a single point of access to lab results, medication records and patient demographics, data that previously resided in different systems. Customized rules run against the data to identify and flag at-risk patients.

Five facilities in Saint Barnabas Health System are adopting the Infection Prevention Module. The system's pharmacy departments purchased the Sentri7 Pharmacy Module in February 2008.
