McKesson (San Francisco), a healthcare services and information technology company, has released Horizon Homecare Wound Advisor, an integrated disease management solution for centralized and in-home care.

According to McKesson, its solution can identify patients who need evaluation based on their current wound status and provide clinicians with the patients' histories, assessment findings and digital wound images from a central location.

In addition to centralized care, McKesson says its solution enables physicians to carry out a standardized wound assessment which then triggers the system to assign evidence-based wound protocols.
