Rochester, N.Y.-based eHealth Global Technologies has introduced an Image Exchange Service designed to facilitate the sharing of medical images for RHIOs and community health networks.

With the service, users can access images via the company’s eHealthViewer, a DICOM-compliant viewer that enables diagnostic-quality viewing of medical imaging, it says. The Image Exchange Service integrates into an HIE environment using existing infrastructure, including the HIE’s authentication and consent models, and works across firewalls for secure access to images, touts the company.
