HIT Definitions Project Holding HIMSS Forums

The National Alliance for Health Information Technology will hold public forums at HIMSS to gather input for its project to define key HIT terms.

The National Alliance for Health Information Technology will hold public forums at HIMSS to gather input for its project to define key HIT terms.

A forum focused on defining the terms health information exchange (HIE) and RHIO will be held Feb. 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. Another forum focused on defining the terms EHR, EMR and PHR will be held Feb. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. These meetings will follow a public forum scheduled for Jan. 16 in Washington, D.C., where the five HIT terms referenced above will be discussed.
