CareSpark (Kingsport, Tenn.), a not-for-profit regional health information organization (RHIO) serving the Central Appalachian region of the United States, has selected Identity HubT software from Initiate Systems Inc (Chicago), a provider of enterprise master person index (EMPI) solutions.

According to Initiate, its software will link and match patient records for CareSpark's consortium of providers, employers and payers in the northeastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia region.

Identity HubT software will support CareSpark in generating patient information for participating caregivers and patients, says the company. In addition, Initiate contends its software will aid CareSpark's efforts to support patients' ability to determine what information will be shared.
