Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC), a 465-bed community hospital located in Belleville, N.J., implemented San Jose, Calif.-based Axolotl Corp.’s Elysium Exchange, successfully connecting disparate HIS and EMR systems to make patient information available to clinicians, says the company.

Through the implementation, emergency, inpatient and outpatient results can be shared electronically with a patient’s primary care physician or consultative specialist, according to Axolotl. Physicians will be able to communicate across disparate EMRs, sharing referrals and other patient data instantly.

Clara Maass Medical Center is an affiliate of Saint Barnabas Health Care System, New Jersey’s largest integrated health care delivery system.
