Rochester RHIO (N.Y.) has signed an agreement with Rochester-based eHealth Global Technologies to use its image exchange system.

According to the company, the eHealthConnect Image Exchange service will enable access to radiology imaging across the Rochester community and provide a link to the Monroe County Department of Public Health to access imaging studies that it says will aid in the RHIO’s work in TB tracking and other public health issues.

The image exchange service will integrate with the Rochester RHIO’s Axolotl Elysium health information exchange (HIE) system and automatically connect to the PACS imaging systems at up to eight radiology providers in the area, says the company.
