Accent on Integration (AOI), a Dallas-based provider of integration software and medical device connectivity solutions, announced that through its continued partnership with Stillwater Medical Center, in Stillwater, Okla., the hospital has integrated vital signs monitors in its same day surgery unit with its MEDITECH hospital information system (HIS) by leveraging AOI’s Accelero Connect solution.

The Accelero Connect integration platform has enabled Stillwater to record patient vital signs in real-time using a completely automated process. Previously working with AOI to facilitate data sharing in its ICU, Stillwater has taken a similar approach with its same day surgery unit to further streamline nurse workflow and reduce the risk of possible documentation errors.

AOI’s highly customizable integration platform made it possible for Stillwater to connect its low-acuity monitors with its MEDITECH HIS without compromising previously stored data or requiring the hospital to purchase additional software.

In addition to providing highly customized implementation solutions for Stillwater, AOI’s integration platform supports the hospital’s plan for achieving meaningful use, as well as enabling greater continuity of care and making medical records more portable.
