Accent on Integration (AOI), a Dallas-based provider of integration software and medical device connectivity solutions, today announced that Delaware Valley Hospital, in Walton, N.Y., has leveraged AOI’s professional services using Siemens OPENLink interface engine to integrate and share data with Southern Tier Health Link (STHL), a regional health information organization (RHIO). STHL is a non-profit organization that brings together healthcare providers and consumers in Central New York with technology that helps improve healthcare quality, access and safety while reducing costs. Delaware Valley Hospital’s ADT, lab, radiology and transcriptions are now integrated and actively shared with STHL, exemplifying the electronic exchange of health information as specified by meaningful use.

Delaware Valley relied on AOI to manage the project from start to finish, provide informed counsel and complete the implementation so the hospital’s IT staff could focus on key day-to-day initiatives.
