The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) have announced a partnership to work together on healthcare information governance and standards.
The associations, two of the biggest in the health IT leadership industry, will use their resources to research on various topics pertained to the industry, lead jointly sponsored webinars on information governance, ICD-10 readiness, and implementation of health IT for rural and critical access hospitals, presentations at the CHIME Fall Forum, advocate on important industry-related issues, and provide reciprocal invitations for annual conferences, forums and summits.
“CHIME is excited to work in partnership with AHIMA as we focus our combined expertise, resources, reach and influence to further our collective goals and support our members. This partnership underscores our commitment to drive the effective use of health information technology for improved safety, quality, and efficiency of care delivery and reflects our desire to collaborate with organizations that share a similar vision,” CHIME President and CEO, Russell P.
