PODCAST: A HIMSS18 Preview with a Conference Veteran

March 1, 2018
With the HIMSS18 conference coming up in just a few days in Las Vegas, we talk to Editor-in-Chief Mark Hagland, who has been attending the conference for nearly 30 years.

Healthcare Informatics’ own Editor-in-Chief, Mark Hagland, has been going to HIMSS (the Chicago-based Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) conferences since 1991, meaning few people could match his stories from the trade-show trenches.

With the HIMSS18 conference coming up in just a few days in Las Vegas, Hagland is as good a person as any to preview what to expect, what he has learned over the years, and how the conference continues to change.

On this quick 10-minute podcast, Hagland and I discuss the health IT policy and payment landscape as it relates to the buzz that could be present at HIMSS18; the latest and greatest innovations we’re looking forward to checking out this year; and what else we could be in store for during the busiest health IT week of the year.
