Feb. 20, 2018

Top 10 Jungle, a provider of online product reviews and digital content, predicts that wearable medical alert devices will lead to lower healthcare costs for all Americans. Company analysts forecast significant growth for the medical alert industry and the Internet of Things (IoT) healthcare market overall through 2023.

“We are very bullish on the medical alert industry —especially for leading industry players like Medical Guardian and MobileHelp,” said Benny Alvarez of Top 10 Jungle. “Not only are medical alerts and other healthcare wearable devices keeping our elder population safe, they are allowing healthcare providers to passively collect data on patients and create the opportunity for improved preventive care.”

The global market for Internet of Things (IoT) is predicted to pass $136 billion by 2021. This includes all medical devices and applications that collect data for online healthcare networks. The aging world population will also continue to burden the healthcare system creating a greater demand for innovation in the space. There is a tremendous opportunity for leading medical alert companies and home healthcare providers to exchange information in real time, keep their elderly patients healthy and lower costs.
