Innovation Competition Looks to Attract Health Tech Talent to Cleveland
The Medical Capital Innovation Competition, which will take place in Cleveland in April, is looking for trailblazing health technology teams to compete in this year's pitch contest.
This year’s competition theme will be “The Next Generation of Healthcare—How big data, artificial intelligence, enhanced reality and other disruptive technologies will engage patients and clinicians, and take healthcare to new levels,” according to a report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Teams representing new medical devices and technology will pitch their inventions with the hope of winning $100,000 in prizes, mentoring and access to business advisors. The competition will be April 23-24 at the Global Center for Health Innovation in downtown Cleveland.
The second annual competition is sponsored by BioEnterpise, the Global Center for Health Innovation and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Its overall goal is to drive healthcare innovation and attract new healthcare businesses to Cleveland.
