In the United States alone, 50,000 patients die each year from preventable deaths in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Our healthcare system is currently short tens of thousands of intensivists, and the 65 years and older population is projected to increase by nearly 10 million in the next decade. Yet only 15% of all hospitals are leveraging telemedicine in the ICU.
