The HP Compaq nc6400 widescreen notebook PC from Hewlett Packard features a 14.1-inch widescreen display for side-by-side viewing of documents and applications. Multiple applications can be used simultaneously with the Intel Core 2 Duo processors, while ATI graphics provide multimonitor support, 3D and high quality video playback. Broadband wireless is optional and a MultiBay II drive allows swapping optical drives with secondary hard drives to increase storage. The security suite includes HP ProtectTools with built in TPM Embedded Security Chip, Smart Card Reader, HP Biometric Fingerprint Sensor and the HP Privacy Filter to narrow the viewing angle without image distortion. Protection from shock and vibration is enabled via incorporated HP Mobile Data Protection System 3D. The nc6400 starts at just 4.4 lbs and as thin as 1.1 inch with preinstalled Windows XP professional, support for Windows 2000, Novell Linux Desktop 9 certified and Windows Vista capability as well as three-year standard parts and labor limited warranty.
