Nov. 25, 2009

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – November 24, 2009 – InterSystems Corporation today announced that AssistMed, Inc. has chosen the InterSystems Ensemble® rapid integration and development platform to provide integration capability for its AssistMed EHR.  The easy-to-use, CCHIT-certified AssistMed EHR is a major component of Clinication™, Duet and Orchestra, AssistMed’s integrated SaaS product offerings.

InterSystems develops innovative integration, database and business intelligence products. Ensemble is used to develop and integrate mission-critical applications, leverage previous software investments through composite applications, and establish an enterprise service bus or SOA infrastructure. An InterSystems application partner, AssistMed develops and markets a family of easy-to-use healthcare applications targeting healthcare providers countrywide.

“Ensemble is the best choice for our enterprise integration platform because of its superior HL7 interoperability and connectivity,” said Raul Kivatinetz, President of AssistMed. “Ensemble enables easy interoperability with legacy systems at large customer sites,” he continued. “This capability, combined with a low cost of adoption and fast data access and reporting provided by the AssistMed EHR system, clearly differentiate our SaaS solution from the competition.”

InterSystems’ leadership position in the healthcare technology sector was another important factor in AssistMed’s selection of Ensemble. “As a technology partner, InterSystems provides a level of trust and comfort to our prospects and customers by providing the de facto standard in HL7 interoperability for the healthcare market,” Kivatinetz said.
