Jan. 23, 2010

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Jan. 22, 2010 – MedeAnalytics, a leading provider of healthcare performance management solutions, announced that St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC) in Towson, Md. has added Payer Performance Analytics to its suite of MedeAnalytics solutions. Payer Performance Analytics (PPA) provides daily insight into payer reimbursement trends, adjudication bottlenecks, and the disputed claims appeal process. Leveraging detailed payment, adjustment, and denial information from electronic payer remittance advice (ERA) data, MedeAnalytics enables healthcare providers to analyze the root causes of disputed claims and manage the workflow process for denial appeals.

“We are excited to leverage our existing MedeAnalytics partnership to include Payer Performance Analytics,” said Janice Dunn, chief financial officer at SMJC. “Having the ERA data in MedeAnalytics’ powerful platform will give St. Joseph’s the ability to effectively manage the denial appeal and follow-up process.”

“We value our ongoing partnership with SJMC, a highly innovative hospital,” said MedeAnalytics Chief Executive Officer Mike Gallagher. “We continue to work with Janice and her team to address the critical financial performance needs of their organization, and SJMC’s adoption of Payer Performance Analytics is another fruit of our collaborative efforts.”
