Feb. 16, 2010

Alpharetta, GA (February 11, 2010) — Huntsville Memorial Hospital, a 123-bed hospital in east Texas, has contracted with Atlanta-based Premier Anesthesia to manage the anesthesia services for its hospital and surgery center.

“Premier provides us with proprietary diagnostic tools that support our evidence-based approach to management, along with our commitment to bring transparency to our clients,” said Sally Nelson, Huntsville CEO.

“We are very excited to forge this partnership with Huntsville Memorial Hospital,” reports Kerry Teel, President of Premier Anesthesia.  “They are well-respected, and we are privileged to play an important role in supporting their mission, sustaining their financial viability and serving their patients with the nation’s best practices in anesthesia management.”

Premier began management of the hospital’s anesthesia services January 31, 2010.  The firm is scheduled to add Huntsville Memorial Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center this summer.

“In their first week with us, we have been delighted with their performance, quality and treatment of our patients,” Nelson stated.  “I think the transition has been very smooth so far,” added Susan White, Huntsville’s CNO.
