Verizon Wireless and Casio have partnered to create the CASIO G'zOne Commando, a ruggedized mobile office with high security features for corporate e-mail, Wi-Fi for high-speed Web access, XT9 and T9 trace input for efficient typing and a snap-out menu for customized access to high-use applications. The device meets military standard 810G for immersion, rain, shock and dust resistance, vibration and low- and high-temperature storage. A 5-megapixel camera with video capture and an LED light is included. As a mobile hotspot, the phone can share a 3G connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
