SAIC, San Diego, entered a five-year agreement with the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) to provide Medicare and Medicaid business services.

Cerner Corp., Kansas City, Mo., and Bayer Corporation’s Agfa division, Ridgfield Park, N.J., are collaborating to provide radiology information systems and picture archiving and communication systems to the U.S. Department of Defense for its Digital Imaging Network-Picture Archival and Communication System initiative. The DOD also contracted with IBM for a filmless radiology system.
